::: compound interest
sounds gross. i know. i shuttered a little too. but beyond its faint smell of homework, the term can be wide spread in life.
i recently attended a women’s retreat. i had never heard the term applied in everyday life until that day. the idea? what if you read two pages a day in a book? at the risk of having to carry a 1, let’s just agree by the end of the year you would have read a few books… or at least one. if you worked out 20 min a day, by the end of the week you’d have logged miles, squats, lunges. and just maybe, by the grace of God, you may even have firmed up that kardashian you’ve been cramming into skinny jeans.
we can agree that the thought of another thing in our day feels overwhelming. it is almost like we create a severe task allergy and can’t entertain the thought. but the truth is we spend time doing a lot of things that are wasteful … ahem… social media. ((also, i am guilty as charged)). so let’s just bring the excuses here. let’s throw them in, and then away. let’s get to the monster tasks that are so adulting, so much, so someday that we avoid them daily. let’s decide TODAY that we will chip away. one baby step, page, call, bill, walk, run, errand at a time.
btw we are in this together because this messy bun sporting mama is really the epitome of #yeahmaybetomorrow. today we start putting some interest in compound, task interest. find your one thing, and only get slightly interested. seven days and we will meet back here. ok? ok.
so PEP RALLY! now go adult, tackle, read, run, cook, fold laundry. just 10-20min a day. feels better already. you are a bad ass. xoxo.
pictured above ••• one of things i dedicate time to daily. time in His word. it started just like this. ten minutes a day. now it’s my favorite part of the day. i really love that my mini sees how much it feeds me, even while i am feeding her. and sometimes it’s on a tour bus. doesn’t matter how // where, i always get right here.
COMPOUNDING THE ASPHALT • GOAL
in an attempt to be your #goalcrush, here is my goal.
::: 20-30 min of running // activity daily
so now you know. now i can’t hide. and now it’s accountability time. ((insert small yikes here))
turn your one weak into one week. you got this boo!
