sometimes you find your people and sometimes you’ve gotta grow ’em!
growing a tree of my own. it’s been in my heart ever since I can remember. the dream of growing a safe place for feelings and imagination. cultivating a home grounded in Christ and true love. brilliant minds, quirky heartbeats, chaos, music. laughter. so much laughter. all the ups and downs, the scars and scratches, the roots, the branches, all under a roof. life’s walls framed in integrity. I have known my purpose was to be a mrs and a mama. I just always knew and dreamt of my family.
in our home we are blessed to have the best dude ever lead us and love us. his crazy job takes him on the road way too often and though I Love This Life, we miss him pretty terribly some days (and every night). lions protect their pride so fiercely his presence is irreplaceable. having him is just everything to us.
I have created a term we use often, “thirty toe nights”. the nights when all the pigs are accounted for, the whole collection is together, and my world is at peace. being cozy in a bed full of pillows and sleeping lions, listening to one or both snoring is like nothing on this earth. it’s my heart in its entirety. nourishment for my existence.
so on the eve of getting our guy back we give a squad goal blog bit shout to our main man and our last “twenty toe night” of the week! he works so hard so we can spend every day together. we can’t wait for lionlovetoes!
wherever you are we wish you a night of all your people safe, sound & snoring. around here we count love by the tens.
